Recently, I've been tracking Suno AI's new feature, - Audio Upload, eagerly awaiting its public release👀

But guess what? Yesterday, Udio launched the exact same feature - Audio Prompting, allowing you to generate any music based on any audio you upload. What a surprise!

Step 1: Record an audio, be creative!

To generate music using Udio's Audio Prompting feature, we first need to record something. Don't think too much, just be creative and crazy.

Here I record a piano cover of imase’s Night Dancer:

Step 2: Upload audio, AI will compose the rest

Login udio.com. The Audio-prompting feature is only available to subscribers, make sure you subscribe to a paid plan before moving on.

Now click the upload icon, and upload the audio you recorded.

Next, type in prompts and turn on Crop and extend to adjust the section of your audio.

Select the preferred Extension Placement. Select Add Section After if you want Udio AI to continue generating music after your audio, then click on Extend.

Step 3. Explore advanced features and enhance generated music

To enhance the quality of AI-generated music, adjust the 'Clip Start' to control the starting point of the generated music within the full song. You can also select higher quality generation, but this may increase generation time.

Now it's your turn to explore and record any fun sounds using your phone, and brainstorm them with Udio AI!
